What does the letter e stand for in equipment?
Answer: This probably is an abbreviation for eye shield. Abbreviations for headgear worn by a racehorse are shown on racecards after the name of a horse.
The eye shield is worn usually when racing on all weather tracks as the sand or synthetic material can get thrown into a horses face.
