As the dust settles on our good day at Kelso, its all systems go on the yard. The roof on the cream barn is nearly finished and the horses are all coming up to fitness with most of them running in October.

We have our schooling area in action and it will be improved with the addition of hurdles from Newcastle racecourse - they have changed to all padded hurdles, as have Hexham. We have 1 padded hurdle and we will build the schooling area with the birch ones. so the young horses get used to both.

Kilmore and Sunny both schooled over fences this week and were much better than my pics! Fairly Fulling was shown how to jump a hurdle by Les Legacy - FF goes to Sedgefield on Tuesday for his first run for us. He has always stopped a few furlongs from home so we are just hoping he completes the course!

    I visited Chris Dawsons farm and viewed some youngsters and his stallions for next year:- Wells Fargo - Kingston Hill - Cannock Chase - Dragon Dancer as we will be starting to plan who to put our mares in foal to in the spring.

    We have had assessors from the Scottish Racing Academy and the National Racing College visiting for both Abi doing her NVQ2 and Amanda doing her NVQ3 which they put on hold after her accident - she is back full time now and riding 4 lots a day - all good. It was a great reel by Charley about Amanda on FB today. and now we have our racing dates....
