SOLAR ACLAIM 1.45 Beverley 6/1 – SOLAR ACLAIM had valid excuses at Chester when last seen in June, with both the ground and the way the race unfolded working against him. He's on an attractive enough mark judged on some of his better efforts last season and, back under more suitable circumstances, I think he's capable of bouncing back strongly.

ZAVATERI 3.10 Goodwood 2/1 – ZAVATERI has been kept relatively fresh this season and there was plenty to like about his fifth at York last week. That effort suggested the return to this longer trip should play to his strengths and, as the sole 3-y-o in the field, I think he can take advantage here.

AILL DUBH 5.50 Cartmel 100/30 – AILL DUBH was better value for his C&D victory last month than the bare margin suggests and a rise of just 2 lb looks very manageable. His stable remains in good form and I think he's got an excellent chance of following up back under the same conditions.

MAXIMISING 7.00 Windsor 3/1 – MAXIMISING made a very encouraging return from a break when runner-up at Kempton last time and that form has already been boosted since. He looks ready to build on that performance and I think he has a strong chance of recording his second career victory.
