Newsletter - Newsletter From Trainer Susan Corbett

Hi

Here's the latest Newsletter from the trainer we support, Susan Corbett...

So a busy week with new owners visiting the yard and all horses gearing up to full fitness. Schooling has started and Brian Harding ( Jockey Coach ) came to give Dillan his first session, along with young Malin who really impressed Brian with his skill after such a short time riding. Next week we have Yard Training with Russ Kennemore – that should be fun!

Sandown has been cancelled for our prize giving as only one member of staff could attend as it would be 3 days away at this crucial time.

So they may come to do the presentation at the yard and give us some cash to celebrate our amazing win – and they are changing the presentation next year as obviously they did not expect a Northern Yard to win lol! The staff are very happy and working our what to spend their 4K on apart from water proofs!

Racing – Carlisle on Tuesday for Mekbat with Graham Lee riding over slightly longer – this may be quickly followed up by a 1.2 at Newcastle on the 5th. Hopefully Mekbat will show further improvement.

Racecourse Gallop Tuesday 7.30 at Newcastle for George debut, Avoid De Master piece of work and Wor Verge and Velasco will battle over 2 miles!

Diary Dates

11th September – National Racecourse Open Day 11am – 4pm followed by an Owners buffet – demos from Vet, Farrier, Chiro etc and a chance to see the horses on the gallops – but just the well behaved ones! Please rsvp.
