Good News in Susan Corbett's Newsletter:

So a busy week with at least 6 horses coming up to fitness. We gelded two of the colts on Monday and they had fun in the field every day – all well. So now we have three Two year olds still in training with the Dandyman looking like an early type. Vet was doing dentals this week so 5 more to go and the whole yard will have had their visit to the dentist….we use the Vets and an Equine Dentist.

Very disappointing at Musselburgh with Wor Verge bleeding – he has a history of it and we try and manage his issues – so he gets time off now to heal – as does Imperial Sachins as we scoped him as his races for us have been too bad to be true and sure enough he had a similar issue – so time off and bring him back for a summer campaign.

So now we waited for Les’s Legacy to see how he did in his long planned Final of the Go North Series – he did not disappoint with Dillan riding a brilliant race on him to win by ½ length at 14/1 SP.

So now Les’s Legacy holds the yard record for winning the most money in one race £15,609.00 – fair to say the Owners, that’s Tweed Valley Racing and myself were over the moon! Excellent birthday present but I have no idea why the Racing Post mentioned my age so many times lol!

This week may be a damp squib as the planned runners may not like the ground which is heavy at Newcastle and Hexham – however the Flat runners will probably still go to Doncaster so that’s Clear Angel ( 1st or 2nd ) and Naughty George….on the 2nd.

Kind Regards
