POUR LES FILLES 1.45 Cheltenham 3/1 – POUR LES FILLES may have won a weak race at Downpatrick earlier this month, but the manner of that success was encouraging and his bumper form suggests there’s more to come. The step up to 3m looks a positive move, and he’s the one I want to be with.

INTENSE APPROACH 4.05 Cheltenham 9/4 – INTENSE APPROACH should appreciate getting back up in trip to beyond 3m and can continue his good progress over fences. With an excellent strike-rate to his name, I expect another bold showing.

EL BURHAN 4.25 Doncaster 7/2 – EL BURHAN looked an improved performer when winning decisively in a big-field Ayr handicap last time. The 6 lb rise looks fair enough on that evidence, and he can continue his upward curve for George Boughey.

KING AL 4.50 Newbury 4/1 – KING AL took a step forward when finishing second at Nottingham last time and looks an improving sort. With conditions to suit and a previous C&D win on his record, he’s taken to give Alan King another victory in this race.
