BLOW YOUR WAD 2.20 Sandown 6/4 – BLOW YOUR WAD arrives in top form after a strong Cheltenham run in the Ultima and a solid win at Chepstow. He sets the standard in a race lacking depth, and while this trip may be on the sharp side, BLOW YOUR WAD still looks the one to beat.

GREAT ACCLAIM 2.35 Haydock 11/2 – GREAT ACCLAIM did his best work when the blinkers went on, including a strong win at Goodwood and good efforts in defeat at Ascot behind the likes of Native Warrior. His Lincoln run over a mile can be forgiven, and with headgear back on and a drop in the weights, GREAT ACCLAIM looks primed to bounce back over 7f.

JONBON 2.55 Sandown 6/4 – JONBON brings top-class form to the table and has an outstanding record, rarely finishing out of the first two. This race could be set up perfectly for him tactically, and with a strong record at Sandown, JONBON looks the one to beat again.

CAVOLO NERO 3.10 Haydock 9/4 – CAVOLO NERO has returned in good order with a couple of solid efforts and may have finished closer last time with a clearer run. Still lightly raced and now more settled with headgear, CAVOLO NERO looks set to go well again off the same mark.

ANNAF 2.05 Leicester 12/1 each way – ANNAF has the class for this, having landed a Group 3 over this trip, and now drops into handicap company. He shaped better than the bare result at Doncaster, not getting the clearest run late on, and this looks more his level.

Off 105 and well drawn, ANNAF looks a major player for Michael Appleby and Harry Davies.
