Hi

Phew well that was the week that was! Monday we were off to Hexham where Just Oot was 4th by just 3 lengths – improving all the time. Les Legacy was a little disappointing 5/12 but the race was on faster ground. Lunar Contact - this was his first run for us after 2 pulled ups for Tom Ellis. It was also Bekahs first ride under rules – you may remember she won her first ever Point to Point on Wild Polly. How she managed to stay on board – see below – no one knows – but she did! Coming 2nd was a great achievement. Nathan was most taken with her skills so far and he thinks, with hard work, she could be our very own Rachael Blackmore! Praise indeed. Then it was the long awaited Knockeranna Rose ( Joker ) behaved in the paddock – took some rails out at the start – then raced well – very green but showed ability so we look forward to his next run 5/8. All came home sound and happy!

Next was the trip to Cheltenham with Sunset Hill in the mares final and Freddie at the sales. Sunny was no disgrace but just was a bit short of zoom to get through the gaps – turned out to be in season! So I look forward to her next run. Meanwhile Freddie was very popular and had every trainer looking – but at the end of the day no one reached his reserve and an offer for him was refused the next day from John McConnel – the Irish Trainer. And so a small partnership of our current owners got together and we have an agreement for him to stay on the yard. If he had gone for a massive price fair enough – financially I was not in a position to refuse - but I am much happier that he stays and very much appreciate the support from the new partnership! So a happy Trainer!

The week was still not finished... Carlisle yesterday and we had our 12th win of the season from Kilmore Rock – by a nose! I think everyone there thought we were beaten – but we were not! Well Done the Kilmore Group – second win in 4 weeks after a slow winter. See a Stride did not appreciate the faster ground and came 6th – so we need further with her on this ground or some rain – any rain! So we have 10 days left of this season and need another winner to reach our target of 13 wins – however when you consider the big guns from last year Champ, Velasco and Pinot have had issues with niggles or ground – the rest have done extremely well! So can we get another winner? Coming up we have:-

21st April Crimson Road 1 of 8 runners at Redcar – just his second run for us over a shorter trip of 1 mile.

23rd Theatre Light at Perth along with Just Oot ( Unlikely to get in ) Wee Alki ( maybe get in )

24th Late Night Drama – debut run for us and in the ballot – hopefully get a run!

Trainers list so far.....

91 / 636

97 runs, 41 prizes and 12 wins with £132.779.52....

Thanks for the support!
