SAINS BRUIT 1.10 Ayr 3/1 – SAINS BRUIT didn't manage to complete the Red Rum hat-trick last week but travelled strongly for a long way and shaped better than the bare result. With conditions very much in his favour here, I think he's well treated and ready to strike.

TWISTTHENIGHTAWAY 2.55 Ayr 5/2 – TWISTTHENIGHTAWAY has taken her form to another level since going handicapping, winning her last two with something in hand. Stepping up further in trip should bring out even more and I expect her to complete the hat-trick.

NIGHTSINWHITESATIN 4.32 Thirsk 7/2 – NIGHTSINWHITESATIN ended 2025 on a high note when a clear second over this trip at Catterick, shaping as though there's more to come. I think she can build on that this season.

KOKANEE 6.15 Nottingham 9/4 – KOKANEE was a shade unfortunate not to win at Pontefract on his recent return, finding trouble at a key stage before finishing strongly. Off just 1 lb higher, I expect him to make amends.

THE GOLDEN SNITCH 3.45 Newbury 18/1 each way – The yard isn't known for it's winning debutantes. Still, he outran his odds by some way at Donny last time staying on into 4th behind King Of Earth whom he meets again and who is 2/1, so considering TGS might have beat him last time with a more prominent track position I'm surprised at the big difference in their prices. I'm sure if the trainers of each horse were reversed he'd be much shorter.

There are plenty of others in the race that could be decent, some of which have to see the track, but at his current odds on what we've seen so far, he has to be the value.
