Hi

Susan Corbett's Newsletter:

Good Afternoon and what a busy and varied week! Both new horses Champ Royal and Royal Prospect are settling in well and both should be racing in the next few weeks.

Champ Royal joins the NEW Northern Racing Syndicate and we still have shares available at £750.00 to buy in and £99.00 per month. He has won over hurdles at 3 miles and that where he will stay at the moment.

Royal Prospect heads for his first race for us over a mile. I was asked to promote National Racehorse Week on Radio Newcastle so that was fun on Tuesday evening.

The British Racing Authority landed on us from a great height this week at 7.45am and took Bloods ( 8 Vials ) and hair samples from 22 horses. Vet Tim and Security person Rachael are know to us as good guys and apologised for the inconvenience – and it is.

Why do they land unannounced? If we were racing that day it would have been very difficult as a person has to work with them and it took 6 hours – we cannot alter blood samples – the only catch out maybe the meds book not up to date. So we wait and see if we have been slipping drugs into our horses ( we have not ).

I feel a letter o the BHA coming on!

The jumpers are still being trained from the field and are coming very quickly to fitness – this will be the fastest we have had them ready – it works so well when they can be out and walking around the fields constantly – weather changing tho so they will be in full time soon.

Yard Competition coming soon – donations for Cancer Research and naming 'Jimmy' and last years competition will be over £1000 as well as the 1020 we sent to Zoes Place childrens' Hospice so well done all!

I enjoyed showing some of the members of the Nelson Syndicate their fillies age 1 and 2 and looking very good – the future of the yard!

Racing: we had two at Musselburgh at either end of the spectrum – Two year old Infinite Honour was 4th – he gets his handicap mark next week and gets a well earned break. Gowanbuster has had issues but we got a glimpse of the old Buster as he ran from the front over 5 furlongs and was also 4th just beaten a neck to 3rd and 2 lengths on the winner!

More racing as we gather pace..... 20th Kelso Konik King for the Race4fun Partnership

27th Perth Blame Rose The Nelson Partnership

28TH Perth Mekbat for Mekbat folk and the GRClub

28th Pontifract Apache Angel

29th Newcastle Gowanbuster.

That's all!
