The progressive colt was the hero of the St Leger at Doncaster last month, winning by 2 lengths from New London on just his fifth start. And earlier he won the Queen's Vase here. He's a big player with this step up sure to bring further improvement.

PLANNED PARADISE 1.45 – Newton Abbot 6/5 – PLANNED PARADISE was on the up over fences when last seen coming in runner-up at Perth in July and remains on a winning mark so looks the way to go here.

ROHAAN 2.00 – Ascot 5/1 – This will be a fascinating top-notch sprint in which it may pay to side with ROHAAN as he bids to dispel his flop in the 2021 renewal. He is otherwise unbeaten over C&D and looked every bit as good as ever when landing the Bengough Stakes last time.

ETERNAL PEARL 2.40 – Ascot 9/2 – A race that's normally won by 3-yr-olds, ETERNAL PEARL looks the way to go. She has come a long way in a short space of time having made her debut in April and with the ceiling of her ability unclear along with a tremendous attitude, she gets the vote.

ORBAAN 4.40 – Ascot 12/1 each way – ORBAAN seemed to have rediscovered the winning habit with a bang this summer, taking the Golden Mile at Glorious Goodwood and following it up in a 7f classified event here. Then he went agonisingly close to landing another big pot at Goodwood last time. He’s surely likely to be thereabouts again, and well worth a shot at this price.
