MOHAARAJ 1.32 Sandown 9/4 – MOHAARAJ has improved with every run and backed up his Kempton maiden success with a convincing handicap win at Haydock five weeks ago. The extra test of stamina looks likely to suit and I can see him progressing again.

MIRACULOUS 1.35 Chester 6/1 – MIRACULOUS has been below his best on his last couple of starts, but both came on straight tracks and I'm far more interested in his Chester form. He ran a cracker when fifth over this C&D earlier in the season and now races from a career-low mark. A return to this venue could spark a revival.

ULTRASOUL 3.23 Chester 7/2 – ULTRASOUL showed plenty of determination when getting the job done at Nottingham on his final start last autumn and that effort suggested this move up to 1¼m will bring out further improvement. From a yard that excels with progressive types, I think there's more to come.

DANEHILL STAR 5.37 Bath 3/1 – DANEHILL STAR met traffic at a crucial stage here three weeks ago and would have finished much closer with a clearer run. That form has worked out nicely since and, with the Tony Carroll stable continuing to fire in winners, I expect a big performance.
