Hi

Susan Corbett's Newsletter shares some brilliant news!

No apologies that I decided just to back track and take in that the yard has won 5 races over 7 Days! We have topped 100k in jumps prize money this season with 8 weeks left to go and a total of 11 wins. All credit to the team here Jamie, Josh, Amanda, Jenna and young Codey and our team of part time staff. But none of this would work without the overwhelming support of you, our Owners. From 4 horses 9 years ago and two owners ( one being Frank! ) to what we are today – Thank you all.

Its great to see Samantha with her 3 winners over the week from joining our racing club 2 years ago (nudged by supporters Ian and Gareth ) and the Nelson partnership finally getting there with Blame Rose – Julia nearly smiling and so she should with Beaumesnil and Blame Rose coming through! Stuart and Steve are still on the ceiling with Pinot winning the listed mares race at Doncaster – this is Stuarts first horse along with his share in Champ Royal – now that what I call a lucky owner! Obviously there are no Mirrors on horses as our Jockeys certainly failed to look in them to see how far ahead they won by... Nathan 18 Lengths on Velasco, Sam 19 lengths on Champ Royal for the Northern Racing Club and then Nathan again on Blame Rose by a mere 15 – her wind op certainly worked and it was a wonder Adam did not overbalance with the cash in his pockets lol! ! Edward had a harder job winning by just ½ lengths on Pinot.

It was also Edward Austins first listed win and just what he needs to put him on the map. Our three jockeys all come in and ride out and it was good to see they all had winners and shared our success!

The horses that did not win like Buddy ( 4th ) did no wrong, while Charizard has just started his career and Kingston Rock improved his jumping tremendously, Dandycan will improve for his run. Phew what else happened? Flat horses start in Ernest this next week while the jumpers continue with a quite few heading for the Go North Series finals on the 5.6.7 April. Many more qualifiers this year as they have made it, maybe, too easy to qualify – I doubt any under 100 will get in but we will see.

As if that was not enough for a week Morning with Ivan popped out her first Filly foal at 11.30 last night. She is by Kingston Hill whose stud fee has gone up to 3K this year. The aim is to breed our own future racehorses to compete with Trainers with mega zillions....and so to next week – starting tomorrow:-

Kelso Sunday 10th March Les Legacy who is in good order

Velasco goes again quickly to try and beat his new handicap mark and put us up a grade.

Newcastle 12th March Flat – Kaidu a new horse for Daryl Clarke and the Girsonfield Racing Club

Newcastle 13th March Flat – Infinite Honour first run of the season for him.

Hexham 14th March – Rock Steady Eddie for the GRC, This is Bob and Atomic Angel – please rain!

Newcastle 16th March – Johnny Dogs goes over 2 miles.....

That's all for this week!
