Newsletter - Susan Corbett Yard News
December 04, 2022
Hi

Our trainer Susan Corbett sends us the latest news from her yard:

First of all the sad news that we lost Golden Robin yesterday due to a freak accident. Sadly its not fun all the time.

However we had a very good week otherwise, with our young bumper horses. Samwise coming 4th at Catterick and then followed up by Nulli Secundus also 4th as the ‘Rank Outsider’. These low budget horses doing very well against horses 80K plus. They will both improve from their runs and we look forward to their next appearances.

In other news we have been breaking 5 yearlings – the first three the new boys from Tattersalls – pictured is ‘The Cow Patch Kid’ ( Share available ) by Twilight Son out of Snow Powder that’s not his racing name! Next will be our own home bred boys ex Morning with Ivan, Bahrikate and Gowanharry – all heading for Flat careers.

On the gallops this week I saw a great improvement in the horses – thinking we had a bug we cut the horses work load and suffered for that when Wor Verge ran out of steam last week. However we are back to faster work and they are all taking it well – so hopefully nasty little bug behind us! Nearly every horse ready for a race in December.

Subject to change!!

7th Hexham Les’s Legacy, Blame Rose, Atomic Angel

8th December – 2nd run for Ask My Heather at Newcastle

11th Dec Maisie Too at Carlisle – last bumper before her hurdling career starts.

13th Catterick Orlas Abbey first time over Fences.

17th Dec – Newcastle This is Bob and Konik King

19th Dec Musselburgh Wotyoudunnow Buddy and Devour

26th Dec Velasco, Nulli Secundus, Avoid De Master at Newcastle

27th December Atomic Angel and Samwise at Wetherby Tbc Imperial Sachins.

Kind regards Susan
