Susan Corbett's Newsletter:

A mixed week to say the least! The Dandyman Colt who will be the earliest two year old we have prepared has been named Dandycan. He starts Stalls training this week with the other two year olds including Les’s legacy bro Ivans Legacy.

Disappointed at Perth when Avoid De Master decided not to bother racing and hacked around so the vet will check him out tomorrow and if nothing amiss he will head for Hexham on the 13th with a complete change of tactics – Jessica Rabbit injured a fetlock joint so stayed at home. The next day – you would think a change of luck due – no such thing –

Maisie Too was in contention for a place when stumbling and unseating Dillan. Velasco – did his usual and went like a train and then faded. Theo Gillard reported there is a very good horse in there somewhere – and one day he will click in and win by a distance!

Beaumesnil finally got to a race track and was 6th in a very hot bumper – so not so bad. Today we have Clear Angel at Wetherby so I hope he cheers up the week! Good luck to castle View Ron and Phil with Graham Lee riding at 3.35.

Staff – New girl Donna finished her 4 week trial and says this is the best job she has ever had! She joins the team full time.

Amanda who has been part time for a few months decided she will stay and is now full time. Josh Duffy who has worked for us off and on since he was 12 – rejoins us in a senior position after working for Emmet Mullins, Sandy Thompson, Richard Fahey and more!

He is a brilliant rider and a good judge of a horse – he picked out Johnny Dogs. I believe this is the best team we have ever had!

Next week we have Blame Rose at Hexham for her last run for a handicap mark in a Novice. Velasco goes again back over 3 miles. AA goes if the ground is soft.

4th May – Tattersalls Sales looking to buy a summer jumper.

6th May – Blame Rose, maybe Atomic Angel depending on ground and Velasco at Hexham.

10th May Buddy at Kelso

13th May Les’s Legacy,

23rd May Meeting about New Partnerships at Hexham racecourse 3.15 please let me know if you can come along.

Fingers crossed for today!

Kind Regards
