Hi

Susan Corbett's Newsletter

A busy week last week starting with a journalist visiting to promote National Racehorse week on the 9th September – that was fun as the poor girl and not seen a horse before! The article is due out next week while our own day is filling up nicely. Breaking in new horses continues with Jimmy being ridden away this week, Hope back in work after being broken last year and Rolo ( Telescope ) hacking out around the farm.

Scary time when Clear Angel – never the best of travellers had a melt down and we had to get C and C to meet us and get him to York, so he was 4th after being slowly away from the stalls but still a great effort in a good race at York!

Meanwhile stalls practice at Newcastle may have been slightly dodgy with Ladies Day and Ronan Keating – however I was very proud of my two year olds – not a bother passing burger vans, drunken people, noise etc etc - they were brilliant - passed their trial with flying colours while the starter and Stalls head said –‘ hmmm should get ( name of big trainer ) down here to see these two!’ Infinite Honour by Decorated Knight has his debut at Musselb on Friday while the Twilight Son goes to Catterick.

Mekbat was reported as being much bigger and stronger than when Harry rode him at the beginning of the season – he needs dropped back to 7 to handle the blinkers – he has been a learning curve but hopefully nearly there! All the jumpers came in today after their summer holidays.
