Owner / Trainer Regs

by KY Trainer
(Lexington KY)

What are the rules to entering your own race horse in a race. I ride and train my own.

Do I need a trainers Lic. or are the rules different. This would be in KY and surrounding states. Thank you.

Answer:

To enter and race your own horses in thoroughbred horse races you will need the appropriate licences.

These may vary from state to state and a full answer would be too lengthy to include here.

You can obtain all the information you require from the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission at
http://www.khrc.ky.gov/rulesregs/
